Drew T. Lail is an associate attorney at McCormack & McCormack, where he represents clients in family law, criminal defense, and traffic matters.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Lail served in the United States Navy as an Aircraft Structural Mechanic, graduating boot camp as an honor graduate. He later served with distinction as a federal police officer, gaining firsthand experience in law enforcement procedures, investigations, and courtroom processes, which he now leverages to effectively defend his clients.

Mr. Lail earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Technical Writing, from Old Dominion University, and his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law. During law school, he interned with the Hampton Virginia Public Defender’s Office, where he appeared in court under a third-year practice certificate and represented clients facing trial for a variety of criminal charges. He also gained experience in family law advocacy through additional intern work with a large local firm, where he assisted in matters involving domestic relations and complicated custody disputes.

Mr. Lail is admitted to practice in all Virginia courts and is a member of the Virginia Beach Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. His combined military and law enforcement background provides him with a unique perspective on the court system, allowing him to effectively advocate for clients facing serious legal challenges and family law disputes. Mr. Lail believes in advocating to the extent necessary to get the most out of your representation, no matter the circumstances.
